Harrison Dean Cavitt

	Harrison Dean Cavitt, 77, of DuQuoin, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2001 at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
	Dean was assistant chief dispatcher with the I.C. Railroad at the DuQuoin yard for 39 years, retiring in November of 1983.
	He was a member of the First Christian Church of DuQuoin and the DuQuoin Elks Lodge.
	He was born December 11, 1923 at Herrin, the son of Dallas Earl and Helen (Wheeler) Cavitt.  
	He is survived by a daughter- Lynn Finn and husband Mick of DuQuoin, a son- Gary Cavitt and wife Marilyn of DuQuoin, four grandchildren- Kyle Dallas Cavitt, Nichole Deann Cavitt, Michelle whittis and husband Rob, Stephanie Foster and husband Shane, sister-Earlene Stephens and husband Gene of DuQuoin, two nephews- Larry and Mike Stephens of DuQuoin, cousin- Bob Cavitt and wife Theodel and family of Centralia, aunt-Iva Cavitt of Centralia.
	 He was preceded in death by his parents.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3 at the Searby Funeral Home in Duquoin with Rev. Chester Zimmer officiating.
	 Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery at DuQuoin.
	Friends may make memorials to the American Heart Association.
